What is The Healer's Journey?
The instant we embark on a career in the healing arts, whether we realize it or not, we have undeniably embarked on our own simultaneous Healer's Journey. Whilst it can take many forms, the common theme is an impulse towards some kind of inner exploration, and a recognition that this inward journey is part of the natural evolutionary process of being on the healer's path.

We realize that we cannot be truly effective in assisting others in their self-healing process without also paying attention to ourselves. On a very practical level, we begin to discover the hidden relationship between our own inner growth and the growth and success of our practice.

For those just starting out, there is often a recognition that learning the techniques of a particular therapy is no guarantee of being able to apply them successfully in practice. Fears and doubts creep in under the surface. Confidence and enthusiasm can be eroded away when the results are not as we expect them to be.

For some, the practicalities of building and maintaining a successful practice can be daunting. How do we attract clients and build a referral network? How comfortable are we with charging a proper fee for our services? How do we create healthy boundaries between our professional life and our personal life? Can we take the leap and earn our living from doing the work that we love?

It can also happen that after gaining some experience in practice, we start to run out of steam or become victims of our own success. More clients can equate to more responsibility than we are comfortable with, and we may find ourselves becoming drained by giving too much of ourselves to others. It might be that our own inner growth has not kept pace with the growth in our practice, and we may need to transform our relationship to our work in order to maintain our passion and enthusiasm for it. This is the stage where our own health and energy levels often get challenged, and practitioner burn-out is a real possibility.

It is my belief that
The Healer's Journey is not really optional - we are all required to undertake an inner journey in order to deepen in our work, to develop our own unique style of practice, and to stay healthy ourselves while helping others to heal themselves. By embarking on this journey consciously and deliberately, we can accelerate our own growth and enjoy the support of others who are equally committed to their own self-transformation. Our work as practitioners then becomes a true practice, as a vehicle for our own spiritual growth, through which we develop and grow while simultaneously being of service to others.

Some Key Assumptions behind The Healer's Journey
• That all healing is ultimately self-healing
• That we are most effective as healers when we are fully aligned with ourselves
• That we can be responsive
to our clients, without being responsible for them
• That healing work can be enjoyable and fun, for both practitioners and clients
• That all of the difficulties and obstacles to success in practice are internal, not external
• That our outer practice is a mirror image of our inner growth process - as we grow, it grows with us

Who is The Healer's Journey For?
This training will be suitable for anyone who is in the process of setting up a new practice or developing an existing one. It will also be of huge value to the experienced practitioner who feels the need to transform their practice in some way, or to rediscover the joy and enthusiasm for their work that may have been lost.

What will I gain from this training?

The most important gains will be felt on the inside, such as:
Finding the source of true confidence in your self and in your work
Rediscovering the enthusiasm and enjoyment which may have gone missing
Uncovering your innate trust in yourself and in the healing process itself
Allowing yourself the freedom to practice in a way that suits your own intrinsic nature

These inner shifts will lead to corresponding changes in your practice - you may find, for example:
Your style of practice changes to reflect who you really are
You are able to attract new clients easily and effortlessly
You develop clear, healthy boundaries in your work with clients
Your practice income increases beyond any current limitations
Your work becomes more fulfilling, enjoyable and less stressful
Your referral network builds rapidly and supports your growth

What is the Format?
The Healer's Journey training consists of three group sessions with Ian of three days each, a total of nine days attendance. Christine will be contributing some coaching skills into the training at various points, and there will also be a dedicated online discussion group for additional support and sharing of experience between the sessions, which Ian will moderate.
