The best solutions to life's challenges are the ones that you discover for yourself. Nobody else's advice will ever be as good as a genuine insight that comes from within you.
Wouldn't it be great to have a simple and direct way of accessing your inner wisdom whenever you needed to? The truth is, you can.
And as you learn to do so consistently, you start to notice how life seems to be flowing with you rather than against you. Without having to 'work on' specific problems with a variety of different methods, you begin to:
- Eliminate stress by uncovering its hidden source within you
- Increase creativity & connect with your life's passion
- Let go of destructive habits and behavioural patterns
- Resolve relationship difficulties effortlessly
- Relax and enjoy your life now, not in some imaginary future
- Release yourself from negative conditioning, old wounds and painful memories
- Quit struggling, striving, trying too hard & doing too much (have you noticed how unhelpful they are?)
- Increase efficiency & productivity - achieve more with less effort
These benefits, and many more besides, are not the result of any self-improvement techniques or practices. They arise quite naturally as the positive side-effects of being aligned with your own true nature. The Truth of the Moment Training Programme will teach you how to find your own master key that opens all the doors for you.
The Truth of the Moment Training Programme
This completely new training programme is the culmination of my life's work in the field of energy healing and personal transformation. My own journey through homeopathy, psychology and emotional release work, combined with a lifelong interest in the spiritual traditions of both east and west has brought me full circle to a place that feels both deeply familiar and totally new at the same time.
From the ancient wisdom of taoism and zen to the modern, practical spirituality of Eckhart Tolle and Byron Katie, a clear and consistent message emerges: what you are looking for is inside you. Peace, wisdom and fulfillment in life are not to be found by external means, for they are innate human qualities that arise by themselves when we are in touch with our essential core self.
I have come to believe that we are given the insight we need when we are ready to receive it, both individually and collectively. In these times of rapid and unprecedented global transition, the inner transformation that is called for has to match the spirit of the times. It has to be swift. It has to be accessible. It must transcend the differences between people yet respect their individuality. And most important of all, it has to be simple.
The Missing Link
With these thoughts in mind, I was introduced to the humble wisdom of a man called Sydney Banks, and it was as if the missing piece of the puzzle had finally turned up. Where so many teachers delivered a complicated message or prescribed difficult and time-consuming practices, Syd Banks managed to eliminate the unnecessary in a way that few have ever achieved. From the day that his own life was radically transformed in 1973 until his death in 2009, he shared the same, simple understanding with anyone who had the ears to listen. He called it The Three Principles, and it strikes me as being one of the most timely gifts for these troubled times. You can learn more about Sydney Banks' life and work here.
As the three principles began to seep into my consciousness, I noticed a clarity emerging in my own work. It became apparent to me that I too could 'eliminate the unnecessary', and I found that as I did so, I was achieving more by doing less - the taoist/homeopathic principle had somehow been activated in a whole new way. That same clarity led me to the creation of this training programme. I knew, with absolute certainty, that I wanted to create a vehicle through which I could share and deepen in this understanding in an experiential way with whoever felt moved to join me. That vehicle is this training programme.
What are the Three Principles?
They are a straightforward and direct way of understanding how the human mind works to create our experience of life. The term Three Principles refers to the three aspects of Mind, Consciousness and Thought. In this understanding, Mind refers to the universal intelligence behind all of life. Consciousness is what enables us to experience life, and to know that we are experiencing it. Thought is the creative element through which we generate every kind of life experience for ourselves, good or bad, moment by moment. These principles foster what is commonly called an 'inside-out' understanding of life, where it is realized that life only appears to be happening to us, whereas in fact it is being created inside us.
Transforming your Life - From the Inside Out
I found through my own experience of working with many individuals over the years that creative insights, healing breakthroughs and even life-changing shifts in consciousness would occur effortlessly and instantaneously when the conditions were favourable. It often appears as if a breakthrough comes as a result of a period of great struggle, but I have come to see that this is a false conclusion.
It is only when we give up the struggle, when we momentarily let go and stop trying to figure everything out, that our deeper wisdom suddenly pops to the surface. The question then, is not, 'What do I need to do?' but rather, 'How can I stop what I am habitually doing which is obscuring my natural ability to tap into the vast resources available to me?'
I have also learned through experience that we can waste a lot of energy trying to get other people and the world around us to change 'for the better'. The more we persist, the more they seem to resist. When you begin to see that there is a direct correlation between your thoughts and feelings about the world and how the world shows up in your experience, it becomes obvious that the only kind of adjustment needed is an internal one.
The paradoxical and seemingly magical aspect of living your life from the inside-out is that when you change, your world changes with you, rapidly, gently and permanently. You don't have to keep 'working at it', trying hard or making a great effort to improve your life circumstances. They improve by themselves, quite naturally, when you have learned how to step out of your own way.
Below are some of the premises that the Truth of the Moment Training is based upon:
- The wisdom, peace of mind, creativity, happiness and well-being that we seek exist inside of us already and need only to be uncovered
- No amount of struggle, striving or 'working on yourself' is necessary or even helpful in order to experience these qualities which are aspects of your innate nature
- The only lasting and effective way to enhance your life in the outer world is to transform your inner world so that you are living directly out of your own true nature
- The past and the future have no hold over you except in the realm of thought
- Your body is the truth-teller, revealing to you in every moment how closely aligned you are to your own spiritual source
- True healing is not about fixing or getting rid of anything. To heal is to experience the wholeness and divine presence that exists inside you at all times
The training is open to anyone. We will be getting deeply familiar with the way in which we create our own personal experience of life - therefore, it doesn't matter which area of life you are engaged in at any particular moment. It is always the same basic principles in operation, and you can apply them to any aspect of your personal, creative and professional life. Because we are addressing something that is universal, the benefits will be felt even in those areas that you have not been consciously working on.
Isn't This Just Another Belief System?
No. In the same way that gravity works for everyone whether you believe in it or not, the principles governing how we generate our experience of life are universal and impartial. We are already using these principles in every waking moment, but we are doing so unconsciously and thereby creating a great deal of unnecessary suffering and hardship for ourselves. You will not be required to believe anything. The purpose of the training is to create an environment that is conducive to you directly experiencing for yourself how the principles are already working for you, and how you could consciously work with them to create a truly wonderful life for yourself.
Will This Training Help Me in my Work as a Therapist/Coach/Counsellor/Health Practitioner?
Absolutely. One of the most liberating aspects of this approach is that there is nothing to solve or fix for anyone, and there is no need to analyze or delve into someone's personal history in order to help them. When you have experienced for yourself how a simple shift in perception can bring an immediate end to a long-standing problem, you will quite naturally want to share this insight with your clients. A word of warning, however: you might find that some of your existing methods, practices and techniques become obsolete rather quickly! (Yes, that happened to me, in case you were wondering).
If Insight Only Takes a Moment, Why Does the Programme Last Nine Months?
Even the simplest understanding will be taken on board in different ways, at different times, and to varying degrees by each individual. There follows a natural process of assimilation which, for most people, takes a period of time before the new understanding becomes fully embodied. We humans can be a little forgetful at times, and it helps enormously to have the ongoing support of a peer group who are learning and sharing their experiences alongside you. I want to give you the maximum opportunity not only to realize your own creative power, but also to reinforce your understanding so that it percolates through your life and becomes entirely natural to you.
Does This Have any Relevance for Somebody in the Business World?
Most definitely. In this period of enormous global transformation, businesses have to be increasingly adaptable and comfortable with rapid change in order to thrive in these challenging conditions. Forward-thinking business leaders know that human resources are the most valuable asset available. Learning the inside-out approach to life enables managers and staff members alike to embrace change without stress, improve their relationships, find deeper enjoyment and satisfaction at work and thereby increase productivity and efficiency. This is probably one of the wisest investments any business manager could make.
