Seminar TAO
The Tao of Homeopathy

A Weekend Seminar in
Thalwil, Zurich, Switzerland

with
Ian Watson

Friday 23rd & Saturday 24th September 2011

In homeopathy, as in every art and science, there are techniques and skills that must be acquired, but these alone do not make a homeopath. Alongside the learning of homeopathic methods and materia medica, there is also an inner process that unfolds over time, through which each practitioner develops his or her own unique style of practice.

Homeopathy is a way of being as much as it is a method of healing, and the consciousness we bring to our work profoundly influences our experience of practice as well as the outcomes achieved by our clients. Homeopathy becomes difficult and complicated when we project our own fears, desires and unconscious attitudes into the healing equation.

I believe that the expert-based model of practice is outmoded and unsuited to modern times, relying heavily as it does upon the intellectual and technical skill of the prescriber. It can, if we are not careful, bring disillusionment and burn-out to the practitioner and disempowerment to the client. With increased self-awareness and an open heart, we can learn to get out of our own way and transform the consultation process from an information-gathering exercise into a joyful exploration of the healing potentialities of the present moment.

The tao of homeopathy is not a method or a technique. It is an inner attitude and a way of being that brings authenticity and aliveness to your work, re-visioning homeopathic practice as an opportunity for self-healing and spiritual growth for both client and practitioner.
