the Body-Mind
A Residential Retreat

About the Retreat
There is a body of wisdom inside each and every one of us just waiting to be brought into the clear light of consciousness. This intelligence guides and supports our entire life, yet so often we neglect to pay attention to it, having been conditioned to believe that the rational ego-mind can take care of everything.
In this small-group retreat we will practice actively listening to the 'indirect side of our selves', and discover how wonderfully creative and wise our inner guidance can be. The body-mind communicates constantly through a variety of subtle and not-so-subtle signals including dreams, body sensations, feelings, images, inner voices, intuitive hunches and even symptoms and diseases. When we approach our inner guidance with an open mind and a willing heart, we find a treasure-trove of riches waiting to be discovered.
The retreat is open to anyone wishing to establish a deep and lasting connection with their own wisdom-body. The benefits of this include:
• Deepening trust & understanding of your self
• Aligning with your true life-path
• Activating your self-healing capacities
• Developing your creative potential
• Learning skills to assist others
Each day there will be workshop sessions, and there will also be plenty of time for swimming, snorkeling and relaxation. The climate at Basata is guaranteed to be warm (but not too hot) and sunny at this time of year (ranging between 20 and 30 degrees centigrade).
The Retreat Location
The retreat will be held at the Basata Eco-Resort between Nuweiba and Taba on the Red Sea coast. The backdrop of the Sinai desert creates the perfect environment for self-reflection and inner transformation, while the turquoise waters of the Red Sea have been associated with spiritual regeneration for thousands of years.
Basata means 'simplicity' in Arabic, and this was the first eco-resort to be established in the area, boasting one of the finest stretches of sandy beach on the coastline. The resort is a family-run community with clean, comfortable accommodation, friendly staff and locally produced food. Accommodation will be in purpose-built chalets with en-suite facilities and electricity or, if you prefer something simpler, there are a limited number of beach huts and camping pitches available.
Retreat Schedule
Arrival will be during the afternoon & evening of Saturday 20th November. The retreat itself will commence on the morning of Sunday 21st. Each day will consist of a morning and early evening workshop session, with the afternoons free to enjoy the best of the sunshine and sea. One day during the week will be a breakout day, with an opportunity to take a camel trip into the desert, visit the coloured canyon, pay a visit to St Catherine's monastery and Mount Sinai, or to simply relax. Departure will be on the morning of Saturday 27th November, unless you decide to extend your stay and have arranged extra accommodation with Basata or elsewhere.

The earlybird retreat fee is £325 per person if booked and paid before 20th September. After this date, the retreat fee will be £375.
